Electric Vehicle (EV) Chargers

We have included fixed pricing for Level 2 EV chargers.

Electric vehicles (EV’s) use electricity, instead of gasoline, to power an electric motor. EV’s have large on-board batteries to store electric power, which are recharged by EV chargers.

Currently, there are three categories of EV Chargers:

  • Level 1
  • Level 2
  • Level 3 (or DC Fast Charging)

Level 1

Level 1 chargers use the standard 120 volt electrical outlet. Usual charge of 3-5 mile drive range per hour.

Level 2

Level 2 chargers use a 240 volt electrical outlet. They require an installation from a professional electrician. Usual charge of 10-20 mile drive range per hour.

Level 3 (DC Fast Charger)

Level 3 chargers, known as DC Fast Chargers, allow for a much faster charge than Level 1 or 2. However, they require a much more extensive and costly electrical infrastructure, and are typically only found in large public transportation hubs. Usual charge of 80% in about 30 minutes.
